16.6 Miscellaneous Options

‘-c’

A do-nothing option included for POSIX compliance.

‘-h, -?, --help’

generates a “help” summary of flex’s options to stdout and then exits.

‘-n’

Another do-nothing option included for POSIX compliance.

‘-V, --version’

prints the version number to stdout and exits.
